e-Likita

The Solution

e-Likita is a digital platform that provides comprehensive contraceptive care and education to women in remote rural area. It offers information about different types of contraceptives, how to use them, and where to get them. It also offers a confidential service where users can talk to a healthcare provider about their contraceptive options.
The e-Likita project implemented in 2022 in collaboration with PHCs and with financial support from Grand Challenges Canada through the Stars in Global Health program grant (ST-POC-2206-53654) has been able effectively increase contraceptive use in Sardauna LGA of Taraba state Nigeria from 660 to over 3,500 users across the LGA.
